Scottish Enterprise Business Grant

Scottish Enterprise Grant

At present, Scottish Enterprise are offering a grant of up to £5K to small and medium sized companies to fund 70% of the cost of improving business performance through people-centred change in your business.

There are 3 stages to your Business getting this fund, that 2 Balance can help you achieve.

Stage 1.  Connection with Scottish Enterprise
Confirm that your company is applicable to be awarded the grant through discussion with Caroline McCoy and obtain a Business Gateway Adviser by arranging an appointment.  Click this link for more information.

The main points are:
You are a small-to-medium VAT-registered business in Scotland forecast to turn-over an additional £200,000 over three years

You are NOT an account-managed company or Business Gateway Growth Pipeline company, as these companies are provided with other forms of support

To arrange a meeting with Business Gateway Adviser, call:
Al Bryce 07710 385 208
al.bryce@edinburgh.gov.uk

Scottish Enterprise will meet you at your place of work to introduce themselves and tell you a little about what they do. This will take 40 mins to 60 mins, and is all that is required to confirm your eligibility for the grant.

Stage 2.  Application for Grant
2 Balance Consulting will request some information from you regarding your company and will then complete the Application Form on your behalf.  2 Balance will then return the form to you to submit to Scottish Enterprise.  Your application will be reviewed and you will be informed if you are successful within 15 working days. Once approved you can start work on your project.

Stage 3.  How to receive Payment
Once the project is complete and your invoice to 2 Balance is settled,  you will be emailed a 2 page form from Scottish Enterprise.  2 Balance will complete the form on your behalf and return it to you to submit.   Payment of the £5,000 (i.e. 70% of total cost) will be made direct to you from Scottish Enterprise within 10 working days.
